New La Casa del Habano in Switzerland

La Casa del Habano (LCDH) franchise continues to grow worldwide, opening a new franchise in Switzerland, on April 26th.

Mr. Alain Proietto and Mrs. Sofia Belfasto, who also own LCDH in Lugano, opened the doors of their new La Casa del Habano, located at Via Angelo Maspoli 11, Mendrisio, next to the FoxTown Outlet Center, making it the ninth franchise in Switzerland.

The inauguration event gathered around 200 guests and friends, all passionate Habano lovers. Among the most distinguished guests were the executives of INTERTABAK AG, Exclusive Distributor of Habanos, S.A., in Switzerland, Mr. Tony Hoevenaars (General Manager), Mr. Alberto Donar (Commercial Director), Mr. Yannick Goetschy (Marketing Director), and Mr. Louis-Charles Levy (Shareholder of Intertabak AG). Other notable personalities present that night included Mr. Samuel Menzi, owner of La Casa del Habano in Zurich, the first franchise in Switzerland and Habano Man of the Year in Business, 2004; Mrs. Anita Sisimbro of LCDH Naples, Mr. Valerio Cornale, owner of LCDH Grand Cayman and Habano Man in Communication 2016; Mr. Francesco Minetti, Habano Man in Communication, 2018; Mr. Ajay Patel of LCDH London, Mr. Massimo de Munari, owner of DeArt (a reference company in the production of Humidors and Walk-In-Humidors), and Nicola Pileggi, jury member of the Habanos World Challenge held at the Habano Festival, among others.

The inauguration of La Casa del Habano – Mendrisio was a truly memorable event for everyone. In a truly enchanting atmosphere, the host Habano of the evening, La Gloria Cubana Glorias LCDH Edition, an exclusive production, was enjoyed together with Perrier-Jouet Champagne, Havana Club Selección de Maestros, Havana Club Tributo 2023, and other Cuban rums and cocktails. Guests also savored Montecristo No. 5 and a delicious buffet prepared by Luca Fanigliulo, the store’s chef.

Mr. Alain Proietto and Mrs. Sofia Belfasto are well-versed in Habanos and own other Habanos Specialist stores under the name Cigar Must in Switzerland.
