Diplomáticos Genios: Phoenicia’s Latest Regional Edition Release

During the 25th edition of the Habanos Festival, Phoenicia was proud to announce the launch of its latest Regional Edition release, the Diplomáticos Genios, during a private event that took place at Iberostar Grand Packard Hotel, involving a restrict number of aficionados, making it a truly exclusive night. A total of 110 people attended the event, from distributors to professional press, influencers, and, naturally, Habanos, S.A. top management.

The release of the Diplomáticos Genios holds in fact special significance as 2025 marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cyprus and Cuba. The selection of the Diplomáticos brand for this commemorative edition is a tribute to this milestone: a special cigar, crafted for a special celebration.

To ensure the success of this luxurious gathering, Havana Club, who gave the attendees the chance to be among the first to taste the new Havana Club Tribute 2025; Pernod Ricard; and Domain La Fage, providing exclusive bottles of Montecristo L’Espirit; were the main partners, ensuring the pinnacle of quality in terms of pairing and beverages.

Vitola: “Genios” (Factory Name)

The vitola Genios holds a prestigious place in the Cuban cigar world, initially associated with the iconic Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios and later on with the H.Upmann Connoisseur A for La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialists. Now, it graces the Diplomáticos line, offering a fresh yet familiar experience for cigar enthusiasts.

As a Regional Edition, the Diplomáticos Genios will be produced in a limited quantity of 200,000 cigars, presented in 4,000 numbered cabinets of 50 cigars each. The cabinet format was specifically selected to mark the exclusivity of the release, being a format that aficionados, and our president Mohamed Zeidan, particularly appreciate for aging the cigars and for its premium appeal. Moreover, for the first time in its history, Diplomáticos is presented in cabinet boxes of 50 cigars, making this edition truly unique.
