Trinidad Perfect Pairing

In preparation for the upcoming Habanos World Days being held in the United Kingdom on June 20th, 21st & 22nd, a search was launched to find the Trinidad Perfect Pairing.

Hunters & Frankau invited the Masters of Habanos to compete on Tuesday 16th April to find the best drink to compliment a cigar from Trinidad’s classic portfolio.

The competitors represented some of the most respected Habanos venues in London and each one arrived ready to present the case for their chosen Trinidad Perfect Pairing.

Second placed Sayfiera Rosidi of Sparrow Italia presented an imaginative, indulgent and delicious combination of a Trinidad Vigia, a Château Suduiraut (Sauternes) and a Burnt Basque Cheesecake.

However, Antonios Giannousakis & Robert Tomko of Birley Cigars carried the day with a pairing that they will be revealed to guests attending the ‘Seminar & Exhibition’ event on Friday 21st June.

The judges on the panel were Jose Antonio Cejas (H&F Corporate Director), Ana Lopez (H&F Head of Marketing for Havanas & Special Projects), Christopher Coates (Whisky Magazine Editor-at-Large) and Jimmy McGhee.
